1. About FolioTracking

FolioTracking is an informational and educational portfolio and trade tracking tool. It is not a broker, investment adviser, fiduciary, accountant, or tax professional. Your use of the service is subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Legal & Financial Disclaimer

No Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice

Nothing in FolioTracking is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any asset. The application does not provide personalized recommendations. Consult appropriately qualified professionals for advice about your circumstances.

Nothing in FolioTracking constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security, option, future, crypto asset, or financial instrument.

Realized/unrealized P/L, FIFO calculations, withholding tax summaries, and dividend ledgers are estimates for personal tracking only. Always verify figures with official broker tax statements and a qualified tax professional before filing taxes.

Data Accuracy and Independent Status

Live prices, FX conversion rates, and CSV/XML imports are provided “as is” without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Market data, FX rates, and imported broker records may be delayed or approximate.

FolioTracking is an independent software application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Interactive Brokers LLC (IBKR) or any other brokerage institution.

Users are solely responsible for their investment decisions and for verifying their portfolio records. The limitation of liability below applies subject to applicable law.

3. Data and Calculations

Portfolio analytics, price data, foreign-exchange rates, dividend summaries, cost basis, realized or unrealized profit and loss, and tax-related calculations are provided for personal information and tracking only. They may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, or different from records maintained by a broker or other source. You are responsible for checking imported data and independently verifying calculations against official statements and records.

4. Broker and Exchange Connections

Broker or exchange connections are intended for read-only data access. FolioTracking does not place trades, move funds, or make investment decisions. You are responsible for creating and maintaining appropriately limited credentials, keeping them confidential, revoking compromised keys, and complying with the provider's terms. Third-party providers operate independently and may change or discontinue their services.

5. Your Content and Account

You remain responsible for the information you import or enter and for maintaining any backups you need. Do not submit information you are not authorized to use. You may delete your account using the Delete Account control in the application footer; deletion is permanent and removes associated cloud portfolio records as described in the Privacy Policy.

Guest Mode stores portfolio records locally in your browser. Browser data may be lost if storage is cleared, unavailable, or the device is lost; keep your own backups. Signed-in users can save account portfolios to Supabase for access across devices. Deleting an account does not erase separate guest data or backups held in your browser or elsewhere.

6. Acceptable Use

Only import or upload information you are authorized to use. Do not attempt to access another person's account or data, upload malicious files, misuse broker or application endpoints, bypass security safeguards, or interfere with the service. Follow applicable laws and your broker's API terms and limits. Do not send passwords or API secrets in support attachments.

7. Availability and Warranty

The application is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by applicable law, FolioTracking disclaims warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by applicable law, FolioTracking and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, loss of data, or investment losses arising from use of the application. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Applicable Law

Mandatory rights and protections under applicable law remain unaffected.

10. Changes and Contact

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised Terms where permitted by law. Questions may be sent to support@foliotracking.com.
